Bugaloo’s – The New Conch Shack

One of the most talked about places to go on Provo for local flair and flavor is Da Conch Shack; however, during our recent stay on the New Year, we heard otherwise. Everyone from the Gansevoort concierge service, to our taxi drivers, to other guests were raving about Bugaloo’s Conch Shack. They told us if we like conch served as fritters, coleslaw, fries, and beer at great prices AND picturesque scenery we’d be good…  So naturally we had to go check it out for lunch on our last day on the island. We drove through Downtown and over to the southern side of the island. Check out the photo of the bright pink building, restaurant deck, stage/band/dance area (can you say Happy Hour!), and seats down by the water:

See the Fish Market off in the distance?

Just your everyday view during lunch right? :)

Needless to say we loved it too! We ordered the Cracked Conch, Conch Ceviche, Chicken Fritters and liked everything. They also have the best homemade lemonade! We watched as they brought the conch in from the conch farm…

Talk about fresh…

I took this photo of Frank – appropriately titled “Lunch Break” :

So $4 beers, $8-$12 entrees, amazing view, great service…. it’s safe to say we’ll be going back…
